Tango Playlists
I originally put together these playlists for my students to learn about the different Tango artists and orchestras. They are a great starting point for discovering the differences between orchestras and developing your understanding of Tango music.
I have also organised the music into tandas, so you can use them to create your own local Practica or Milonga with friends.
If you are interested in Tango Musicality and want to start with the fundamentals or explore further, you can now take our online Tango Musicality lessons .
Start With These 4 Tango Legends
If you are new to Tango music, start with these four playlists. Di Sarli, D’Arienzo, Biagi and Pugliese are among the most influential Tango orchestras and provide a useful introduction to different musical styles.
Milonga & Vals Tandas
Once you have explored the four orchestras above, move on to our collection of Milonga and Vals tandas from different orchestras.
For beginners to Tango, the music can be broadly classified into Tango, Milonga and Vals.
Milonga and Vals tandas generally consist of three songs, while a traditional Tango tanda usually consists of four songs when played at a Milonga.
More Tango Orchestra Playlists
Below you will find tandas from many more Tango orchestras. Explore them at your own pace and compare the different musical styles, rhythms and arrangements.
I hope to keep updating these playlists with more music, so do come back and check them out again soon.
