About the teacher
Teresa Wang is a resident teacher at Tango Amistoso and a particularly good example of the school’s learning pathway in action. She began Argentine tango as a university student through the UCL Tango Society and developed from a young beginner into a confident dancer and teacher within the Tango Amistoso community.
Her experience of learning tango at university gives Teresa a natural understanding of the questions, uncertainties and breakthroughs that newer dancers encounter. She teaches with patience and clarity, helping students feel comfortable while building sound technique from the beginning.
Teresa’s dancing and teaching reflect the Tango Amistoso emphasis on connection, musical awareness and communication between partners. She works closely with Winston Veerender in regular London classes, demonstrations and community events.
As someone who has travelled the complete journey from student to teacher within the school, Teresa offers students an encouraging and relatable model of what committed, thoughtful tango learning can become.
Friendly classes, serious learning
